Busy Busy Busy - Day Five

Today started out pretty slow. I spent an hour and a half cleaning and washing toys, books, and games with another volunteer. It was her last day today, so I'll be the only volunteer who comes in early in the morning-I'll be the only one who will clean the toys.

It was a special day today-there was a celebration for Leonard Horvitz, the man who the Horvtiz Tower is named after-so there was decorations and food everywhere. The staff especially were extremely proud of their artwork because there was a decoration contest against all the floors on Rainbow. So by 10 o'clock, our floor became super busy, and three other volunteers showed up, which helped tremendously.

I usually spread myself out and try play with several patients a day, but today I spent the majority of my time with one baby. He was only 2 months old, the most adorable baby I've ever seen, and he cried every time I put him down or left his room. So I was pretty much his little buddy all day.

Oh, and referring to my previous post from two days ago (Monday), I no longer look 4 years old! Another volunteer thought I was 21 years old and in college (which was a compliment for me)!
